Old Church

I've always wanted to work on an RTS game similar to Wasteland 3, so I made a small scene that could be used in a game like that.

Since it was not meant to be viewed at a very close distance (mainly top down/isometric), I used a low texel density of 256px/m. The church itself was also a great opportunity to practice using 2 UV sets, the first one for tiling textures and the 2nd which uses masks to add more visual detail to the building such as peeling paint and dirt.

The scene also proved to be a great opportunity to learn more about lighting, atmospheric fog, landscape sculpting & texturing, and foliage creation.

Everything is rendered in Unreal Engine 4.

Many thanks to George Sokol (https://www.artstation.com/gsokol) for his feedback on this project.
